Communications and Engagement Consultant
6-12 Month Contract
5 days per week
£450-£500 per day (inside IR35)
Hybrid

 
For the purpose of consulting on the creation of an engagement plan for the SEND & Inclusion Change Programme, we are presently seeking a communications specialist. You will offer guidance on how to effectively create and coordinate comprehensive messaging to integrate new methods of operation that will revolutionise SEND support services.

This comprises two summer 2025-based activities funded by the Department for Education. In order to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, including schools, professionals, and parents/caregivers, the consultant will collaborate with key officers.

Interviews are looking to take place over the next week.

 
Your Role as Communications and Engagement Consultant:
 

• Put into practice a successful strategy to help the Change Programme reach its goals and benchmarks through involvement and communication.
• Create and oversee communication campaigns and provide guidance on how to communicate intricate and varied messages using a range of media.
• To report progress to DFE in accordance with Programme and DfE funding criteria, and to answer to a Strategic Steering Group.

 
 
Your previous experience as Communication and Engagement Consultant:
 

• Previous experience working in a local government or educational setting during a period of transformation in a communication or engagement project
• Extracting important information from statutes and using briefings, presentations, websites, and other communication materials to persuasively communicate that information
• Collaborating with local government and education partnerships and handling difficult messages as well as sharing success in a proactive way
