3 days on site per week (Hybrid)

Reporting into the Head of Service (SEND and Inclusion), you will be in charge of the SEND & Inclusion improvement plans at the county level and provide strategic leadership.
Among these are the execution of the Councils SEND & Alternative Provision Improvement and Transformation Plan in conjunction with the DfE Delivering Better Value Programme and the DfE SEND & Alternative Provision Change Programme.
 
About the SEND Improvement Lead Role;

• Lead the development of a Local Inclusion Plan for West Sussex, ensuring alignment with our SEND Strategy.
• To line manage a team of professionals delivering projects within the improvement programmes and will take responsibility for ensuring effective resources management.
• Regularly undertake activities to engage and build trust with people involved in all areas of work, communicating complex information to a range of audiences.

 
 
Your previous experience as a SEND Improvement Lead;

• Subject matter expertise in the leadership of SEND & inclusion at a local authority level.
• Understanding of the DfE SEND & Alternative Provision Change Programme and the DfE Delivering Better Value programme.
• Self-motivated, highly organised and passionate about inclusion and outcomes for children and young people
