Job Title:                                 Commissioning Lead Adult Care Home
Contract Length:                      3 month initial interim contract
Location:                                 South East of England Local Authority
                                                 3 to 4 days a week         
                                                Can be flexible to full time home working
Pay rate:                                  £500 – £600 per day
IR35 Status:                            Inside IR35
 
 
Baltimore are working with an established local authority client in the South East of England in their search for an established senior commissioner to support the older peoples team, as they look to establish and lead the councils new care homes framework tender project.

PLEASE NOTE: to be eligible for this position you must have past care home commissioning experience within a local authority setting.
 
Your duties as a Commissioning Lead:
 

• Ensure social care solutions are available for all residents, implementing plans to improve quality and outcomes, whilst also achieving value for money and ensure best use of resources.
• You will build positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, leading on strategic and operational co-productions and identify gaps in local provision, supplying solutions to senior managers.
• You will be taking the lead on multiple work streams and support on complex issues raised by senior officers, operating as an SME.

 
Experience needed as a Commissioning Lead:
 

• Previous experience of adult social care experience within a local authority setting.
• Past experience on leading on tenders for care homes and other social care tenders.
• Excellent communication skills as this role would require significant engagement with other local authorities, providers and leaders; as well as regular check-in’s with senior managers.
• Be highly resilient.
• Available references for the past 5 years of work.
