Interviews are set to take place W/C 29th April and while they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible they will wait for the right person.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a forward thinking and progressive Local Authority, where you will be given support and training from day one.

Reporting into the Team Manager in the Community Mental Health team you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of assessments.

Your role as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP):
 

  • Mental Health Act assessments and referrals.
  • Duty AMHP work collaborating with colleagues across adult social care and health.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, recognising the user’s needs.
  • Supporting relatives and carers in their roles through the provision of care.

 
Your experience as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP):
 

  • They are open to range of backgrounds, these include Qualified Social worker, OT, Nurse or Clinical Psychologist.
  • Must be an Accredited Approved Mental Health professional with current or recent warrant.
  • You will have extensive knowledge around mental health policies and practices.
  • You will have practised as an AMHP in the last 12 months.
  • Have managed a caseload of complex cases.
