Reporting into the Principal Social Worker, you will be the key decision-maker on adoption and fostering recommendations, ensuring compliance with legislation, best practice and statutory timescales. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior social care professional seeking a highly influential Agency Decision Maker role.

Your Role as Agency Decision Maker:

• Make statutory decisions on Adoption, Fostering and Permanence recommendations in line with legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Drive quality assurance, compliance and best practice across children’s services.
• Provide expert guidance on legislation, policy developments and case law.
• Deliver training, support performance improvement and maintain high standards across services.
• Produce reports and provide specialist expertise to support strategic service development.

Your Previous Experience as an Agency Decision Maker:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work qualification and registration.
• Significant experience within children’s social care, adoption and fostering services.
• Senior leadership experience with the ability to make decisions on complex and high-risk cases.
• Strong understanding of childcare legislation, permanence planning and safeguarding frameworks.
• Excellent communication, influencing and decision-making skills with a track record of working at a strategic level.
