Your Role as Head of Service – Improvement, Assurance and Reforms (Principal Social Worker):
• Lead high-quality social work practice, setting standards and improving safeguarding outcomes
• Drive CQC readiness, audit frameworks, and continuous service improvement
• Shape workforce strategy including recruitment, retention, and wellbeing initiatives
• Oversee performance, budgets, and large-scale transformation programmes
• Represent the authority at regional and national level, championing innovation and best practice
Your previous experience as Head of Service – Improvement, Assurance and Reforms (Principal Social Worker):
• Proven senior leadership experience within Adult Social Care
• Strong knowledge of Care Act legislation and CQC frameworks
• Demonstrable success delivering quality assurance and service improvement
• Experience managing performance, budgets, and strategic programmes
• Qualified Social Worker with extensive Local Authority experience
