Senior Commissioning Manager – Adult Social Care
6-month contract | Immediate start
£450 per day – negotiable – Inside IR35 (via umbrella) 
South West based Local Authority  – Hybrid working 

Are you ready to step into a high-impact Senior Commissioning Manager role where you will shape the future of Adult Social Care? Reporting into the Senior Leadership Team, you will take ownership of complex, high-value programmes and influence strategic direction across the commissioning cycle. As a Senior Commissioning Manager, you will lead critical portfolios, manage significant budgets, and work with senior stakeholders and partners to deliver real, measurable outcomes that improve lives. Your role as Senior Commissioning Manager:

• Lead strategic commissioning programmes delivering high-impact outcomes and value for money
• Drive partnership working with stakeholders, communities, and system partners
• Oversee complex budgets, savings plans, and financial performance
• Develop commissioning strategies, business cases, and Cabinet-level reports
• Provide expert leadership on procurement, contract management, and service improvement

Your previous experience as Senior Commissioning Manager:

• Proven background in commissioning, procurement, or contract management
• Experience managing large-scale budgets and complex programmes
• Strong stakeholder engagement with senior leaders, partners, and communities
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and service redesign in social care or health
• Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing skills
