Access Therapy Team Lead

3 Month Interim Contract (likely to extend)

South West England – Can be Fully Remote 
£350-375 per day Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to step into a leadership role where you can shape a newly created service from the ground up? Access Therapy Team Lead offers a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants, driving innovation, improving pathways, and making a real difference to adults requiring therapy and sensory support. The Access Therapy Team Lead reports into the Service Manager, working closely with senior operational leaders and practice specialists to develop an efficient, solution-focused service that delivers outstanding outcomes.

Your Role as Access Therapy Team Lead:

• Lead and develop a newly established therapy service, providing line management and support to Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants
• Drive Therapy and Sensory workflows, ensuring residents receive the right support as early as possible in their journey
• Identify and implement service improvements that reduce delays and deliver faster outcomes
• Build strong relationships with health therapy leaders and locality-based therapy services to ensure seamless collaboration
• Support performance objectives, including maximising early resolution and ensuring timely referrals where ongoing intervention is required

Your Previous Experience as Access Therapy Team Lead:

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current professional registration
• Strong experience delivering occupational therapy services within adult social care
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams
• Experience using Mosaic system
• Experience managing complex caseloads and making sound professional decisions
• Management or supervisory experience is desirable, although not essential
