Reporting into the Head of Service (SEND and Inclusion), you will be in charge of the SEND & Inclusion improvement plans at the county level and provide strategic leadership.

Looking for an experienced individual to support the council with their SEND & Alternative Provision Improvement and Transformation Plan in conjunction with the DfE Delivering Better Value Programme.
 
About the SEND Improvement Lead Role;

  • Lead the development of a Local Inclusion Plan for the council, ensuring alignment with our SEND Strategy.
  • To work with the Head of SEN to develop schools ready for the new academy year
  • Co-produce the permanent strategy for the service

Your previous experience as a SEND Improvement Lead;

  • Subject matter expertise in the leadership of SEND & inclusion at a local authority level
  • Experience at Head of Service level with SEND
  • Self-motivated, highly organised and passionate about inclusion and outcomes for children and young people
