Reporting into the Programme Manager within Childrens Services, you will be responsible for project and programme management within Alternative Provision. Your expertise and professional advice will be key to managing successful projects and bringing on innovation and improvement. You will have knowledge of school data and the impact of attendance & exclusions on attainment. You’ll have expertise in compiling reports, analysing and displaying data, including statistical data.
 
Your role as a Project Manager – Children’s Alternative Provision Improvement:
 

  • Effectively manage and oversee the progress of programmes and projects.
    • Offer guidance and experience in project management, change control, and methodologies to ensure that projects are completed in compliance with methods and industry standards (such as Alternative Provision Improvements).
    • Examine procedures and policies
    Maintaining frequent reviews; cultivating connections with stakeholders; creating business cases, funding bids, and reports; offering counsel and experience to aid in obtaining funds; and overseeing, tracking, and reporting project money and finances

 
Your previous experience as a Project Manager – Children’s Alternative Provision Improvement:
 

  • Prior experience working in the public sector and in school improvement;
  • Relevant project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or equivalent;
    • Thorough familiarity with laws, regulations, statutory guidelines, and associated procedures concerning exclusions, alternative provision, school attendance, children missing education, and elective home schooling.
    • Being aware of the effects that absence and marginalisation can have on students’ performance and results.
    • Prior budgetary experience;
  • Project and project team management expertise;
  • Effective leadership and communication skills; and Capability to Gain Support from Colleagues and Stakeholders
