SEND/Childrens Intellligence & Performance Officer
6-month interim contract to start April 2024

Northwest England
£400-450 per day (Approx £50 per hour) 

Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Remote/ Hybrid working (2 days a week on site desirable)

Reporting into the Head of Service to design, develop, deliver and implement an audit and quality assurance programme for SEND within Childrens Services, ensuring that the themes that emerge are fully reflected in learning and development programmes. Support the improvement plan in delivering, maintaining and scrutinising measurable improvements in quality across Childrens Social Care and Education (SEND).

Your Role as SEND/Childrens Intellligence & Performance Officer:

  • Aggregate and disseminate the findings of audits on a regular basis across the service so as to maximise the learning opportunities for all staff.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance programme regarding SEND across Childrens Services
  • Provide the Head of Service for Quality Assurance and Head of Service for SEND with clear measurable and analytical practice outcomes across Children’s Services.
  • Identify, plan and carry out periodic audits. Report the findings, recommendations and develop ensuing Action Plans which can achieve the required changes within achievable timescales.
  • To work with senior officers and members of the performance team to identify performance issues across the whole of childrens services including childrens social care, SEND, education and Early Help
  • To support the delivery of the SEND Self evaluation with required data
  • To work with IT colleagues and service leads to develop software solutions in Power BI, creating reporting in SQL to future proof these products for service use and improvement.

Your previous experience as SEND/Childrens Intellligence & Performance Officer:
 

  • In-depth experience at in respect of quality assurance and performance within Special Educational Needs and or Disabilities
  • Exemplary and up to date knowledge of current legislation and government guidance as it relates to services
  • Broad and deep experience of SEND Service Delivery and Quality Standards
  • Prior experience of Power BI would be advantageous 
  • Must demonstrate a proven track record within a similar capacity in a Local Authority setting
