Interviews are set to take place on the 30th of April.

Reporting into the Assistant Director of Building Control you will be responsible for driving several projects of work for the Local Authority.

This role has come about due to recent promotion, and you will be pivotal in helping the AD with all Build Control matters.

Your role as a Deputy Building Control Manager role:

  • Site inspections and dealing with complex and challenging situations in relation to Building Control
  • Operational side of Building Control, working closely with the Assistant Director providing strategic overview of the service
  • Assist Surveyors on a daily basis, answering complaints, technical issues and continuous improvement
  • 2 Direct reports – Principals.

Your previous experience as a Deputy Building Control Manager:

  • Chartered Surveyor qualification
  • You will ideally have Class 3 or be working towards this
  • Strong technical ability in term of Building regulations and able to navigate around British Standards
  • Excellent people skills, able to leads, mentor, coach and empower the team to move forward and provide a great service.
