Charmaine Vincent launches Validating Vulnerable Voices podcast

On June 3rd, Charmaine Vincent, Bristol-based recruitment entrepreneur, will be launching Validating Vulnerable Voices; a new podcast based around lived experiences of truly inspirational people in the South West with a story to tell.

We’ve all craved the need to be heard in our lives, to not feel alone and to be able to relate our thoughts, feelings, and experiences to others.

Validating Vulnerable Voices is a one-of-a-kind podcast with many layers. The show’s primary objective is to help people relate emotions to their experiences, validate those feelings, then present a solution and provide others with comfort and hope.

Charmaine is someone that values people, dreams big and believes that anything is possible if you want it enough, this all comes back to empowerment.

Far too often we are led by fear and become our own Achilles heel. We all have self-limiting beliefs, some a direct consequence of negative things that people have said, and we’ve held onto; fearing that they are true. These beliefs are usually limiting, negative and hinder our growth.

Reflecting on her career, Charmaine states “I try to think back to the younger, inexperienced version of myself, working for a local newspaper back in 1999. Whilst I was massively insecure and lacked confidence in several personal areas in my life, at the core of me was passion, determination, and the willingness to succeed. Some may have said I had a chip on my shoulder and that I wanted to show the world what I was capable of, but whatever your take on this, I know this consistent belief in myself alongside my ability to shut out the negative noise, has helped pave the way for me to become the successful business owner I am today, some 25 years on.”

Setbacks and failures are a part of life. Yet for some people, there’s a voice in their heads that reserves its most negative commentary for themselves. We’re human beings, we all do it on some level, but it can become a vicious cycle.

Charmaine believes her job is to now inspire others to believe and see the true gift of showing up authentically, with vulnerability. It’s our superpower. It’s a journey, one of which we must learn to truly love ourselves and all our associated chapters.

Her incredible guests, including Bristol-based Poku Osei of Babbasa, and Channel 4’s “The Secret Teacher” Darren Ryemill of Hapstar. They show up authentically and are willing to share their experiences to educate and empower.

Life is not defined by your past, or what you have. It’s defined by what you’ve gone through to get there. The secret to fulfilment is growth and giving, and we believe there’s no better platform to achieve this.
