I’ve been working with Baltimore for over 3 years now and am proud to be known as one of our subject matter experts for senior interim and permanent appointments within the Education Sector. I pride myself on providing an honest, consultative approach to both clients and candidates to ensure consistency and satisfaction.

Who are you and what is your purpose?

I’m Athena and I’m the Divisional Lead for Education. I’ve been in the team for over 5 years now, and as Divisional Lead, my role is to support our Associate Director of Education, Jordan Groves, in guiding the team to achieve their personal and professional goals, develop their skill sets, and ultimately, build strong and long-lasting relationships with our clients and candidates within the education sector.

What has been your greatest achievement (personal or professional)?

Being able to buy my first house in 2022 is something I am incredibly proud of; this wouldn’t have happened without my career at Baltimore Consulting.

Professionally, in 2023, I was awarded the “Outstanding Growth” award at our in-house annual conference. I was nominated by my colleagues, which was particularly humbling, having been recognised for my achievements by the business. I have also achieved multiple promotions since starting my career at Baltimore Consulting – being able to flourish in my career, and progress, is very fulfilling.

What advice would you give other leaders out there?

Be confident in yourself – your own wins are proof of what you have learnt. Trust in your ability but don’t be afraid to ask for help!

Who inspires you? And why?

It has to be my mum, she’s always instilled in me that you can do anything if you put your mind to it, whether that be personally or professionally, and she will always back me, 100%.

Favourite Food

Caribbean food – all of it!

What’s your leadership superpower?

I’ve always had success by building really strong relationships, internally and externally, and I believe that prioritising a level of understanding and being transparent with others has been at the core of this.
