Jordan Groves

Who are you and what is your purpose?

I’m Jordan Groves, and I’m the Sales Director here at Baltimore Consulting. I head up our entire sales team, focussing on driving quality, customer engagement, client engagement and ensuring that our business is aligned.

What has been your greatest achievement (personal or professional)?

My biggest achievement professionally has to be my career progression. I started with Baltimore Consulting as a Recruitment Consultant within our education division back in 2016. Fast forward 8 years, and I’m now heading up the entire sales division! It hasn’t been an easy road, but passion and drive has led me here and this is something I am incredibly proud of.

Personally, my greatest achievement was becoming a father to my beautiful baby girl!

What advice would you give other leaders out there?

Be open but always be honest. It’s so important to understand that everyone you manage likes to be managed differently, it’s not one size fits all when it comes to leadership and coaching.

Who inspires you? And why?

I’m really inspired by people with strong business acumen; for instance Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. He not only inspires me from a fitness perspective (goals), but he has his fingers in all the pies! Ryan Reynolds’ journey is also incredibly impressive, having started from the bottom and working his way up to become a billionaire through clever business ventures.

We have the power to determine our own worth, and I find those that overcome adversity to create the life they want really inspirational; Matthew McConaughey wanted to completely reinvent himself and change the direction of his acting career, and he turned down multiple roles in order to gain credibility as a serious actor. He knew his value and the skill he could bring and that belief has turned him into the successful actor he is today.

Favourite Food

Chicken, in any form, and pizza! There was also that time I thought I could of had a legitimate crisp addiction…

What’s your leadership superpower?

I think my leadership superpower is my ability to build relationships with everyone. That feeds across the team and people buy into that.
