Baltimore Consulting invest in on-demand therapy for all employees

Did you know that 1 in 6 employees suffer with some form of mental health condition? From anxiety, through to depression, work is the main cause of stress and mental illness for today’s workforce over any other factor.

At Baltimore Consulting, we’ve consistently gone above and beyond for our employees whenever they’ve needed it, but there is always room for more. Our employees continued health and wellbeing, both mental and physical are extremely important to us as a business. Without our employees, Baltimore simply wouldn’t exist, let alone be successful.

As part of our continued commitment to our employees, we have launched a new and exciting partnership with Support Room; allowing all employees the opportunity to access in-app therapy in your pocket, available for you to connect with at any time, in a way that works best for you.

Support Room is an on-demand online therapy platform whose goal is to improve the livelihoods of those suffering from symptoms of mental health issues. Employees receive support when they most need it, no more suffering in silence.

Employees can communicate with therapists via in-app messaging, videos and voice messages.

Users can track and analyse trends into their physical, mental health and wellbeing throughout their therapy journey. They also provide self help tools to allow employees to improve their mental health outside of therapy.

On the partnership, CEO of Baltimore Consulting, Charmaine Vincent, states:

“We have always worked hard to provide a safe space for our employees, and I’m extremely grateful that Support Room will be providing unlimited clinical therapy, that will help empower our staff to use these services, without any judgement.

The reality is, there is no health without mental health. We all have emotions, feelings, thoughts, and moods that may influence our mental health, and that is perfectly normal. As an employer, I feel I have a duty of care to support my staff beyond just signposting and I’m extremely proud that we continue to go that extra mile for our people; it’s in our DNA to care.”

This announcement follows that of Baltimore Consulting’s integral partnership with local mental health charity, Bristol Mind. In March this year, a number of employees will be embarking on a half marathon challenge to raise vital funds for mental health services around Bristol, including the charity’s inaugural MindLine. Each year over 3,500 people call the emotional helpline for support with costs £25 for a 30-minute call that can save a life.

Baltimore Consulting work hard to ensure that employees are looked after. Aside from the on-demand therapy provided by Support Room, we also have two fully trained Mental Health First Aiders within the business who are on hand to support each and every one of our employees. Our leadership team are also currently undertaking life coaching sessions to allow them to put their best foot forward and be the very best versions of themselves.
