Baltimore Consulting hit the ground running in 2021

With awards season upon us, here at Baltimore Consulting HQ we’ve been busy writing and submitting applications to ensure that we don’t miss out on the action.

During such unprecedented times over the last year, we’ve seen several postponements for ceremonies and announcements within the industry, with many awarding bodies going virtual or cancelling all together.

That being said, we have been awarded with 3 different accolades throughout 2020. To have our achievements recognised, especially throughout such a turbulent year for so many, is such an incredible honour, and one that we are extremely proud of.

Here at Baltimore Consulting, we have ensured that it remained business as usual amidst the uncertainty of the last year – maintaining our empathetic approach to our networks and making sure processes run like a well-oiled machine. We’ve continued to create a genuine unity and family feel to how the teamwork and give back despite a global pandemic, and we are delighted that our efforts have been recognised within the wider business arena.

2020 award wins:

  • Best Recruitment Company to Work For – Recruiter Investing in Talent Awards
  • Entrepreneur of the Year – Business Leader Awards
  • Best Business Woman in Recruitment – Best Businesswoman Awards

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be attending the 2020 National Business Women’s Awards at Wembley, whereby CEO, Charmaine Vincent, has been shortlisted for both Business Woman of the Year (Medium), and Influential Business Woman of the Year.

The following week, 6 members of Baltimore Consulting’s leadership team will be heading back to Wembley to attend the 2020 SME National Business Awards, where we are up for Employer of the Year and Charmaine is a finalist in the Business Person of the Year category.

Charmaine is a truly inspiring business leader. Having founded Baltimore Consulting 8 years ago, she has built a hugely successful business, delivering industry leading growth during this time and circa £13million turnover in 2020.

She passionate about maintaining a positive mindset and this certainly spreads throughout the entire business. Far too often we are led by fear and become our own Achilles heel. It’s easy to say that we don’t have time, but the reality is, if we turn our “should”, into a “must” and commit to doing something positive, limitations and barriers are removed, and anything is possible.

Charmaine Vincent says:

“Winning these awards are something I am so proud of, for a number of reasons. Being recognised as a successful female entrepreneur within the recruitment industry, which is traditionally so heavily male dominated at the top, is such an incredible and humbling achievement for me, as it ultimately paves the way for other female leaders within the sector itself. 2020 was such a challenging year for so many of us, we saw so many SME’s tragically fall by the wayside, so to be recognised for going that extra mile and putting my people first and prioritising their mental health and wellbeing, and for our charity work and sense of community is just truly remarkable.

Since our inception, Baltimore has always had a strong moral compass. Our shared set of values and collaborative family culture, make leading from the front in this industry an absolute pleasure. Caring about your people, working hard and always believing really does make the difference.

If you’ve suffered from imposter syndrome and feelings of not being good enough, I truly believe that if you believe in yourself, which is ultimately the hard part, anything is possible. I am living proof.”

At Baltimore Consulting, our mantra is “empowered to be authentic and achieve great things,” and this is something that shines through our business.

This year alone, we have been shortlisted for the Recruitment Agency of the Year (Small) award at the 2021 Recruiter Awards which will take place in September.

Our story is truly unique, and we are proud of that. It’s part of our DNA.
