Baltimore Consulting become FamilyFit accredited

We are delighted to announce that we have become FamilyFit accredited!

This accreditation is evidence-based, and rewarded for businesses that have made significant efforts to develop a culture and workplace that supports families and working parents.

As an employer, Baltimore Consulting celebrate differences and value the opinions of all staff. We are proud to say, we make decisions based on a unified voice through our internal People & Community Forum. Being inclusive and providing equity for all employees sits firmly at the core of our business.

Over the last year we have made waves in our family policy, enhancing our parental leave even further, and including adoption, fertility, and loss within that package.

We’ve also introduced the option of a 4-day week. This has ultimately seen two of our employees return to work full-time for the first time since becoming parents, allowing them to receive a full-time wage in turn.

Baltimore Consulting work with our employees at the heart of the business; CEO, Charmaine Vincent has instilled a caring ethos into the company culture and has continued to put others and their development first.

As a business, we are not afraid of showing vulnerability, encouraging all staff to show up authentically and in turn, proving that you can create a reputable, profitable business, without cutting corners and leading with your heart.

Ross Nolan, Managing Director of FamilyFit, states:

“A family-friendly mindset for us means a more diverse culture, richer internal growth, and ultimately, a better bottom line. We deeply understand that children are the ultimate beneficiaries of a parent-friendly culture, and this starts locally – having a positive impact on our community means that families everywhere benefit.”

Charmaine Vincent, CEO of Baltimore Consulting, states:

“Being a parent myself, I know everyone should be able to progress within their careers, without limitations.

I am passionate about equality and making sure that everyone gets equal opportunities; we break through the glass ceiling, we are different, and we’re proud of that. When you’re forced to juggle childcare, school events, work commitments and family needs, it’s not long before you start unknowingly wearing the cape. Parents are real life superheroes, in my opinion!

This is why a FamilyFit accreditation is so important to us; we’re always seeking to improve, and this ultimately gives us a barometer, that allows us to continually develop on this journey.”
