Are you an experienced Service Manager QA and Safeguarding looking for your next interim challenge? This is an excellent opportunity to step into a high-profile leadership role where you will drive quality assurance, champion safeguarding excellence and lead a highly skilled team committed to improving outcomes for children and young people.

As Service Manager QA and Safeguarding, you will play a pivotal role in providing support, challenge and oversight across children’s services, ensuring the highest standards of practice are consistently achieved. You’ll lead experienced Independent Child Protection Chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers while influencing service improvement through robust quality assurance, audit activity and safeguarding leadership. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Service Manager QA and Safeguarding to make an immediate impact within a well-established service.

Your Role as Service Manager QA and Safeguarding:

• Lead and develop a team of Independent Child Protection Chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers
• Drive quality assurance, audit programmes and continuous service improvement
• Oversee child protection processes, procedures and safeguarding activity
• Provide professional challenge and support to improve practice and outcomes for children and young people
• Identify areas of risk, highlight good practice and influence positive organisational change

Your Previous Experience as Service Manager QA and Safeguarding:

• Degree level qualification in Social Work or equivalent
• Extensive knowledge of legislation relating to Children & Young People’s Services
• Detailed understanding of child protection processes and safeguarding frameworks
• Proven leadership experience within quality assurance, audit or safeguarding functions
• Strong understanding of how political, social, economic and organisational changes impact service delivery
