Finance & Operations Manager

Natalie Rees

Who are you and what is your purpose?

I am the Finance and Operations Manager here at Baltimore Consulting. My purpose in both my personal and professional life is to care for those around me; it’s at the very heart of everything I do and I believe that my empathetic approach to life is what makes me truly unique.

What has been your greatest achievement (personal or professional)?

I have always worked within a back office team, and from the very beginning of my career, my ambition was always to become in charge of Finance and Operations. For one reason or another, the option wasn’t available, or I had to learn more in order to achieve this. I have now been promoted to Finance & operations Manager and I couldn’t be more proud of myself!

My biggest personal achievement has to be when I took part in a Cancer Research event which consisted of getting naked for a calendar shoot! It was a very proud and liberating experience for myself and several others and definitely one I will never forget.

What advice would you give other leaders out there?

We’ve always been told to treat others how you would like to be treated and I’ve abided by this throughout my life. In line with this it is so important to respect others how you expect to be respected. Always lead by example and maintain positivity and poise, this is how you get the best of people!

Who inspires you? And why?

My mum! She inspires me to be a better person. Why? Because she sets a brilliant example to always keep going no matter what, and to always do it with a smile on your face.

Favourite Food?

PIZZA – all day, every day.

What’s your leadership superpower?

My superpower is to care. I care about my team. I care about their aspirations and their wellbeing. This is so important in order to ensure that I am able to bring the very best out of them.
