Who are you and what is your purpose?

I’m the Assistant Director for Public Sector recruitment here at Baltimore, working with our fantastic team of leaders and consultants to appoint specialists into Local Government. As a fairly new Mumma, I’m driven daily by my baby girl, family and friends. Over my years in the recruitment industry, I’ve changed sector several times but I find myself now in a position working where I contribute to a field where the people are truly making a difference to our communities. Those closest to me know this and share pride in my work. Being able to support my loved ones falls to the centre of everything I do but celebrating success together makes it a joy!

What has been your greatest achievement (personal or professional)?

It has to be my beautiful baby girl. She’s incredible and already has us wrapped around her teeny fingers. Balancing returning to work and home life has been a whirlwind but achieving the amazing career highlights I’ve had at Baltimore like my Recruiter Investing in Talent award for Most Inspiring Team Leader, my personal career progression and the career growth of multiple consultants in my team, are things that I’m immensely proud of.

What advice would you give other leaders out there?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help, not just from those who lead and inspire you but from your team – trust is a two-way street. Surround yourself with a team that champions one another and let them shine!

Who inspires you? And why?

I have 2 incredible women in my life – my Mum and Sister. Mum’s one hell of a tough cookie and isn’t afraid to be vulnerable. She has endless love for her family. My sister is the most incredible mother to my gorgeous Niece, everything about her is a testament to how she puts others first and you’d struggle to find someone better out there at what she does, regardless of what it is!

Favourite Food

Asian fusion, places like Seven Lucky Gods in Bristol are my mecca.

What’s your leadership superpower?

Grit and hard work. I’m a huge advocate that the right attitude and desire to learn will take you anywhere you want to go.
