This is an exciting new opportunity where you will not on be responsible for running the OT service but working with the Director of Adults to scope out the role for the future.

 
They have a flexible approach to the hybrid way of working and are looking for the successful candidate to be on-site 2 days a week.

 
Your role as a Team Manager for Occupational Therapy:
 

  • Responsible for Front line service practitioners OT’s and Senior Practitioners.
  • Working with the Director of Adults to redesign the OT service
  • Reporting into the Service Manager.
  • To ensure the service carries out its statutory functions under the Care Act 2014; including safeguarding adults at risk, prevention, information and advice, timely assessment, eligibility decision-making, care and support planning and review.
  • Ensure provision of specialist assessments where needed, such as Occupational Therapy, Sensory, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty and Human Rights Act.

 
About you as a Team Manager for Occupational Therapy:

  • Experience of working for a Local Authority
  • You have a Social Worker or Nurse background but would need to demonstrate OT experience at operational and management level.
  • Able to work under pressure – waiting lists are long
  • Up to date knowledge of all Current Legislation’s
  • High professional standards
  • Interpersonal skills and personal reliance.
