Are you an experienced Team Manager – Leaving Care looking for your next interim assignment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and high-performing service supporting care leavers and unaccompanied young people as they transition into independence and adulthood. Reporting into the Service Manager, you will lead a passionate team, drive service improvement, and ensure young people receive the highest standard of support through effective pathway planning and intervention.

As Team Manager – Leaving Care, you will play a key role in shaping service delivery, developing staff, and building strong partnerships to improve outcomes for care-experienced young people. This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a service committed to helping young people achieve their full potential.

Your Role as Team Manager – Leaving Care:

• Lead and develop a team delivering high-quality Pathway Plans and effective Risk Management
• Drive Service Development and continuous improvement across the Leaving Care service
• Ensure care leavers access their full Leaving Care Local Offer Entitlements and receive timely support
• Build strong partnerships with Housing, Education, Health, Adult Social Care and DWP colleagues
• Oversee Staff Development, Performance Management, Recruitment and Health & Safety

Your Previous Experience as Team Manager – Leaving Care:

• Qualified Social Worker with a BA (Hons), DipSW, CQSW or equivalent qualification
• Registered with Social Work England
• Previous management experience within a Leaving Care, Children in Care or wider Children’s Social Care setting
• Strong understanding of the needs of Care Leavers and Unaccompanied Young People
• Ability to lead teams, manage performance and deliver positive outcomes through effective multi-agency working
