Are you an experienced Strategic Property & Accommodation Lead looking for an opportunity to shape the future of a significant public sector estate? Reporting into the Strategic Estate Manager, this is a high-profile role where you will lead the strategic approach to estate planning, accommodation strategy and workplace transformation.

As Strategic Property & Accommodation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring property assets support future service delivery models, financial sustainability and organisational priorities.  

This is an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Property & Accommodation Lead to influence corporate decision making, challenge existing approaches and drive long-term portfolio optimisation within a large and complex environment. 

Your Role as Strategic Property & Accommodation Lead:

• Lead the development of Strategic Estate Plans aligned to corporate priorities and service strategies
• Drive portfolio optimisation, accommodation planning and workplace transformation programmes
• Provide strategic challenge and expert advice on estate requirements, affordability and future operating models
• Lead on corporate landlord principles, asset ownership governance and service asset utilisation
• Embed sustainability, carbon reduction and data-driven decision making across estate strategies and planning  

Your Previous Experience as Strategic Property & Accommodation Lead:

• Proven experience developing and delivering Corporate Asset Management Plans within complex organisations or local government environments
• Significant senior stakeholder engagement, influencing and partnership management experience
• Strong background delivering strategic change, policy development and organisational transformation
• Experience developing business cases, feasibility studies, options appraisals and investment proposals
• Degree, leadership qualification or membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS, RIBA, CIOB, CIBSE or IWFM  

As Strategic Property & Accommodation Lead, you will work closely with senior leaders, Members, services and external partners, providing assurance, governance oversight and strategic direction across a diverse property portfolio.

The successful Strategic Property & Accommodation Lead will combine strong commercial awareness, political sensitivity and excellent communication skills to influence decision making at the highest level.
