Job Title: Interim Speech and Language Therapist
Day Rate: £525 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: North London Local Authority
Contract Length: 12 – 18 months (interim)
Start Date: 01/06/2025
 
This role is primarily face-to-face (2 days per week) with opportunities for flexible working arrangements (e.g. working from home for virtual groups/report writing). CVs are being reviewed immediately with a view to start at the beginning of June.
 
Baltimore Consulting are seeking an interim Speech and Language Therapist to work with children and their families in a North London Borough Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of improving ways of working in SEND within a borough with a newly published SEND Strategy and a strong partnership approach to special educational needs and disabilities.
 
Your role as the Speech and Language Therapist:  

• Running targeted-level groups with parents and children under 5, both in children and family centres and online
• Assessing children under 5 with communication needs
• Writing advice for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs)
• Delivering interventions for children under 5 with language difficulties
• You will be supervised and supported by a senior Speech and Language Therapist from the community children’s therapies team. There will be opportunities to work alongside an expanding team of speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and Early Help professionals.

 
Your previous experience as a Speech and Language Therapist:  

• Right to Work in the UK
• Valid HCPC registration
• NQP (Newly Qualified Practitioner) competencies completed
• Experience of working with children with communication difficulties and their families in the community
