Band 8A (rate negotiable dependant on experience)- Inside IR35

Baltimore Consulting are currently partnering with a large Acute NHS Trust in the North of England who is looking for support of an Interim Service Manager for the Specialised Cancer Services Directorate for a 6 month period, with a possibility of extension. This is to cover a period of maternity leave due to commence in September but we will be looking for someone to start prior to this to double-run for a period and ensure an effective handover.

Your duties as Service Manager- Specialised Cancer Services:

  • Work with line management to put a clear plan of action in place to deliver against the targets of the division
  • Provide management and leadership to the operational team
  • Support elements of the improvement programme, particularly taking a lead role in those related to administrative functions.
  • Professional develop the current substantive Operational team

Experience needed as Service Manager- Specialised Cancer Services:

  • Senior operational lead at a Band 8A/B (Experience in Oncology would be of benefit)
  • Must be a self starter and understand the landscape of the business and conflicting needs across partners
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to implement improvement processes
  • Reliable and driven to organisational change
  • Available references for most recent 2 year’s roles.
