Service Manager – Fostering
£450 per day (inside IR35)
Hybrid – 3-4 days on site per day
North Yorkshire
3-6 Months Initially

We are seeking a dynamic Service Manager – Fostering to oversee and enhance our fostering provision, delivering high-quality outcomes for children and families.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a large in-house fostering service, managing existing foster carers and driving the recruitment of new carers.
• Act as a key liaison with Independent Fostering Agencies (IFAs).
• Enhance the quality and timeliness of foster care assessments.
• Manage connected carers services, ensuring effective support and oversight.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver a rapid improvement agenda, providing coaching and mentoring with a balanced yet firm leadership approach.
• Be hands-on, ready to step in and lead by example when required.
   

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Service Manager, with a strong background in Corporate Parenting.
• Active registration with Social Care England.
• Proven success in high-performance management within statutory services, with experience in a “Good” or “Outstanding” authority highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of driving service improvements.
• Two recent professional references covering the last two years of employment.
