Service Manager – Child Protection South West England
6-month contract – immediate start
£58–£63 per hour
Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid working – 3 days on site

Your Role as Service Manager – Child Protection:

• Lead across referral & assessment, social work and permanency, ensuring safe and effective delivery
• Drive performance management & service improvement, delivering against key safeguarding targets
• Provide strong leadership & oversight to managers and frontline teams
• Ensure quality assurance & compliance with statutory requirements and legislation
• Manage budgets, contracts and multi-agency partnerships to strengthen outcomes

Your Previous Experience as Service Manager – Child Protection:

• Proven leadership within statutory children’s services at senior level
• Strong track record in safeguarding, performance & service improvement
• Ability to lead at pace, influence stakeholders and manage complex challenges
• Experience of multi-agency working and partnership collaboration
• Confident in overseeing budgets, contracts and operational delivery
