This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex, high‑value projects, influence senior stakeholders and play a pivotal role within a fast‑moving Development and Disposals function.

As Senior Development Valuer, you will report into a senior property lead, manage a demanding portfolio and be trusted to operate with autonomy from day one, with a formal review at the three‑month mark.

You’ll be at the centre of ambitious programmes covering disposals, acquisitions, development appraisals and feasibility studies, working across political, commercial and community priorities. Your role as Senior Development Valuer:

• Delivering capital receipts, acquisitions and complex disposal projects
  • Leading development appraisals, valuations and feasibility studies
  • Navigating the planning system and planning obligations to unlock value
  • Managing a diverse property portfolio with a commercial, strategic mindset
  • Building trusted relationships with members, senior officers and external partners, including regular travel as part of your remit

Your previous experience as a Senior Development Valuer:

• Proven delivery of large‑scale, complex property disposals
  • Deep knowledge of property marketing, local markets and estate management
  • Strong project management and negotiation capability
  • Confidence operating in a political environment, advising at senior level
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload independently, using advanced ICT skills

You’ll bring sharp judgement, excellent written and presentation skills, and the confidence to make timely, well‑reasoned decisions that stand up to scrutiny. A current driving licence and access to a car are essential, reflecting the breadth of the portfolio you’ll oversee.
