You will step into a highly visible, impactful role at a critical point of change. As Interim Scheme Manager – Women’s Supported Housing, you will report into a senior leadership team and take operational responsibility for a complex 24/7 service supporting women with multiple and entrenched needs.

You will lead established day and night teams, oversee rotas and on-call escalation, and ensure safe, legally robust delivery across a multi-property scheme supporting around 17 residents.

This is a pilot appointment with real influence. You will shape how social care and safeguarding expertise is embedded into supported housing, with clear review points and genuine potential to extend or convert to a longer-term solution. If you thrive in high‑challenge environments and want your work to truly matter, this is one to read on.

Your role as Interim Scheme Manager – Women’s Supported Housing:

  • Operational leadership of a 24/7 women’s scheme, including rota management, on‑call escalation and staff supervision
Safeguarding & legal oversight, applying the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and multi‑agency duties
Quality & compliance, ensuring risk assessments, incident reporting and support plans are robust and current
Staff support & supervision, promoting reflective practice and trauma‑informed delivery
Partnership working with health, social care, safeguarding and specialist providers

Your previous experience as Interim Scheme Manager – Women’s Supported Housing:

  • Strong background in social care, safeguarding or supported housing, ideally with formal qualification
Proven experience working with women affected by trauma, substance use and multiple exclusion
High legal literacy, confident navigating safeguarding thresholds and statutory frameworks
Credible people manager, able to lead diverse teams in pressured environments
Hands‑on and resilient, comfortable balancing strategic oversight with operational detail

This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start and early review. You will be trusted, listened to and given the autonomy to make a difference from day one. The scope is deliberately broad, offering challenge, variety and professional reward.
