Job Title:                                  Senior Commissioning Manager – Adult Residential Care Home Market Shaping
Contract Length:                       6-month initial interim contract
Location:                                  Yorkshire local authority, hybrid working
Pay rate:                                   £450 per day
IR35 Status:                             Outside IR35
 
 
Your duties as a Commissioning Manager:

  • Reporting to the Assistant Director of Commissioning, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a needs analysis and commissioning intentions for Older Peoples Care Homes and implementation of action plans to ensure sufficiency, improve quality and implement a fair cost of care model.
  • You will work towards ensuring the service meets the needs of service users, working with operational staff to ensure the service is aligned to national and local strategies and priorities.
  • As part of this you will manage contracts and provider relationships across adult social care, specifically relating to these services.
  • Acting autonomously, this role will not have any line management responsibility, with its sole focus being around the service provision.

 
Experience needed as a Commissioning Manager:

  • Successful candidate would ideally be business minded with extensive experience in the commissioning and design of adult social care services.
  • Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, with the ability working effectively and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Available references for the most recent assignments.
  • Be available to be on site on a hybrid basis.
