Job Title: Interim Asset Manager
Location: South West of England
Rate: £250/ £300 a day Umbrella
Duration: 3 months estimated
A growing and respected Social Landlord has a requirement for an Interim Asset Manager to lead, inspire and develop the Asset management team to achieve the aims and objectives of the organisation, based in South West of England for a 3 month contract (in the first instance).
Your duties as Interim Asset Manager will include:
·Lead on delivery of a comprehensive repairs, maintenance and asset management service which meets the corporate needs of organisations and the expectations of our residents
·To work collaboratively with Operations teams and Housing and Estates teams and actively contribute to policy formulation and to the achievement of wider business objectives.
·To act as Contract Manager for the responsive repairs contract
·Management of high profile organisational risks through compliance activities including gas safety, fire safety, legionella, asbestos and fire safety/risk assessments across the property portfolio.
·To advise internal management teams and to recommend strategy and policy for asset management and stock condition, including aids and adaptations, planned & responsive maintenance and landlord health & safety
·To oversee the development and implementation of best-practice systems, risk appraisal, property surveys, information management systems and operating procedures to facilitate quality and value for money in aids and adaptations, planned & responsive maintenance & landlord health & safety
·Provide regular performance reports to internal management teams.
·To provide leadership and overall management of staff engaged in the development, design, procurement and delivery of asset management services including planned, cyclical and responsive services
·Increase the amount of stock condition data that the organisation holds and can utilise to cover 90%+ of homes and ensure stock condition data is accurate and stored appropriately
·Ensure that all repairs, maintenance and servicing contracts are delivered to ambitious standards meeting resident satisfaction, budget and value for money targets
Your experience as an Interim Asset Manager will have covered:
·Team management experience including external contractors (performance management of external contractors)
·Come from a surveying background and be RICS qualified/HNC-HND qual in a building related discipline
·Experience in Asset Management and repairs for a housing provider
·Strong stock condition experience and knowledge (ideally asset data collation and interpretation of data for reporting)
·Worked for a Housing Association/LA
·Come from a Surveying background and be RICS Qualified or HND/HNC level and above within a building discipline
·Health and Safety and compliance background
