I am working with a local authority based in the Midlands, who have an immediate requirement for an experienced Interim SEND Tribunal Officer to work within the SEN Tribunals team.

£400 per day

In order to be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record working as a Tribunal Officer within a local authority setting, along with recent experience of appeal management from start to finish including presenting the LA’s case hearing, covering whole resolutions and a good knowledge of SEN/D & the SEND Code of Practice.
The role of the SEND Tribunal Officer is to represent the Council in Tribunal appeals. Responsibilities will include:-

  • Considering appeals
  • Drafting the LA’s response to appeals
  • Preparing and collating evidence
  • Liaising with witnesses and representing the Council at final hearings

The role of SEND Tribunal Officer will also include liaison and advice with locality SENAR teams and in this role, you will be supported by business support officers.
