An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEND Improvement professional within a Northwest Local Authority to play a key role in identifying service improvement opportunities within SEND and Alternative Provision. Reporting to the Head of Service/AD you will be responsible for leading and project managing the improvement journey across this service.  

Your Role as SEND Improvement Lead:

  • Create and project manage the delivery/implementation plan across SEND.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance programme regarding SEND across Childrens Services
  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver the SEF (Self-evaluation programme)
  • Identify, plan and carry out improvement opportunities across SEND and alternative provision.
  • Contribute to development of policies and procedures.

Your previous experience as SEND Audit & Quality Assurance Officer:
 

  • In-depth experience at in respect of quality assurance and performance within Special Educational Needs and or Disabilities
  • Exemplary and up to date knowledge of current legislation and government guidance as it relates to services
  • Broad and deep experience of SEND Service Delivery and Quality Standards
    •Must demonstrate a proven track record within a similar capacity in a Local Authority setting
