As a SEND Casework Officer, you will join a busy, supportive team reporting into a Senior Casework Officer, managing a defined caseload and playing a key role in improving outcomes for children and families. You will be at the centre of the statutory process, working closely with schools, families and multi-agency partners to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved. If you’re confident managing complex cases and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this SEND Casework Officer role will suit you.

Your role as SEND Casework Officer:

• Lead and manage EHC assessments and plans, ensuring statutory deadlines are met
• Drive the graduated approach and support SENCos and headteachers
• Build strong multi-agency relationships with education, health and social care
• Monitor and review EHC outcomes and annual reviews
• Handle appeals and SENDIST cases with accuracy and confidence

Your experience as SEND Casework Officer:

• Proven local authority SEND casework experience
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory processes
• Confident working across multi-agency environments
• Experience with complex cases and vulnerable pupils
• Ability to manage tribunals and high-volume caseloads
