£450-500 per day (Inside of IR35)

An new opportunity for a School Capital specialist has arisen within the North west. My client are looking for an experienced School Capital Project Managers to lead and act as the Councils Accountable Officer for individual allocated projects across Schools & Leisure (or groups of projects including Schools Basis need and Major Maintenance works.),
 

  • This candidate will be responsible for the project delivery and performance of external consultants, suppliers and contractors and internal staff resources.
  • Leading the development of projects working across sponsors, and users to prepare business cases, project delivery strategy and definition briefs.
  • To be the main point of contact between the internal client department/budget holder and the project delivery team, responsible and accountable for effective communication and co-ordination of the client requirements.
  • To have expertise in the project management of built environment assets and to be the accountable person under the construction contract for the on-site delivery of the project; and maintain strategic consultation in order to deliver effective school organisation changes.

 

  • You will also be responsible for demographic planning and the co-ordination of bids gained from schools in order to successfully contribute to the planning of the capital investment programme for schools.

 
To succeed in this role, you must have –

  • Experience of JCT/NEC contracts procurements
  • RICS/RIBA/CIOB/APM qualifications essential
  • Experience of carrying out data and demographic analysis.
  • Proven track record of working on similar projects across Local Authorities.

 
The role is high profile and challenging and you will need to be innovative, resilient and able to work at a fast pace. You will need to form positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders devising and coordinating strategies place planning.
