School Admissions Manager
3 month interim contract initially
Remote role with some onsite visits needed
Inside IR35 – £400-£450 per day

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced and dynamic individual to lead our client’s reception and secondary school admissions and appeals team. 

The role encompasses a wide range of statutory and non-statutory duties, including presenting the authority’s case at appeal hearings and working in close partnership with schools, to support families in accessing education for their children.

Your duties as School Admissions Manager:

  • All elements of normal admissions – reception and secondary transition
  • Managing the client’s borough-wide co-ordinated “in year” process
  • Delivering a robust application of the Local Authority’s Fair Access Protocol
  • Oversight of secondary school appeals for maintained schools and academies
  • Professionally represent the local authority and Pupil Services at school admission appeals, LIAAG and other internal and external meetings

Experience needed as School Admissions Manager:

  • Must have previous experience in a management role in LA setting
  • Proven experience of working in a very pressurised school admissions and appeals service
  • Excellent schools admissions legislative and policy experience
  • You must be an excellent communicator
  • Very current knowledge of the admissions processes
