Responsible Individual (RI) for Children’s Homes

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Private Children’s Home company in Birmingham for a Responsible Individual for a 3x bed Home. You will report to the Company Director and the key focus of this role will be to improve the Ofsted rating for the Home which is currently Inadequate.
 
 
About your duties as the Responsible Individual, Children’s Social Care: 

• To lead and manage the current Registerfed Manager, ensuring dynamic plans for the children and young people.
• Ensure the Home is ready for an incoming Ofsted Inspection
• Safeguarding and promotion of well-being for those who reside within the home.
• Ensuring the home complies with the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations (2015)
• Ensuring that the staff have training and development opportunities to enable them to be fully skilled within their fields and understand what Ofsted “Good” looks like

 
Your experience needed as the Registered Children’s Home Manager, Children’s Social Care: 

• Must have a Level 5 Children’s Home Management Qualification.
• Must have been a Responsible Individual (with Ofsted) previously.
• Worked as a Responsible Individual within the past 3 years ideally
• Proven track record as Registered Manager/RI in a children’s home.
• Have a good understanding of what “Good” looks like.
