Registered Manager – Children’s Short Breaks (LD & Complex Needs)
3–6 month contract – immediate start North East
£450 day per day umbrella 
Inside IR35 (via umbrella)

CVs are being reviewed immediately and interviews will be taking place week commencing ASAP   Are you ready to step into a service that needs strong, visible leadership from day one? As a Registered Manager – Children’s Short Breaks (LD & Complex Needs) you will take the helm of a 5-bed short breaks home supporting children aged 7–18 with learning disabilities and complex needs. Supported by highly capable Deputy Management and Senior staff, this is your opportunity to make immediate impact and shape the future of the service.   Your role as Registered Manager – Children’s Short Breaks (LD & Complex Needs):

• Provide visible leadership to a small, dedicated team delivering short breaks and overnight stays
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure safe, effective service delivery for up to 11 children
• Lead on service development, improving outcomes and consistency of care
• Work closely with internal panels managing placements and allocations
• Drive performance, compliance and quality standards in a fast-paced environment

Your experience as a Registered Manager – Children’s Short Breaks (LD & Complex Needs):

• Proven experience in Children’s Residential Services, ideally LD & complex needs
• Level 5 in Leadership & Management
• Strong background in operational leadership within regulated settings
• Confident in Ofsted standards, safeguarding and compliance
• Ability to step in and stabilise services quickly with limited handover
• Skilled in team leadership and staff development, even in challenging environments
