AS the Public Health Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for the Strategic commissioning, market-shaping, and contract management of Adult Social Care & Health services and support offers.
 
About the Commissioning Manager role:

• Planning and strategic commissioning of public health services.
• Working with colleagues to design services and lead commissioning decisions for the portfolio.
• Ensure that commissioned services are cost effective and achieve good individual outcomes.
• Lead on a range of major initiatives and projects to achieve service modernisation and re-design across the Health, Social Care and Public Health economy
• Strategic Commissioning Manager –promote healthy lifestyles and be responsible for developing and implementing a joint strategy for planning, commissioning, market management and developing support services and markets

About you as a Commissioning Manager:

• Substantial and demonstrable knowledge and professional experience of commissioning in a health and or care setting
• Demonstrable knowledge of current legislation and policy relating to health, public health and social care
• Educational achievement to degree level or equivalent level of knowledge or experience
• Strategic thinking, commissioning and contract management capability
• Experience of budget management in health, public health or social care
