Project Officer – Capital Projects
3month interim contract to start Dec 2024

£412.50 a day Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Home Counties 
Hybrid working –   (40% in office)

Are you passionate about shaping the environment in which we live in and providing spaces for communities to thrive in? We’re looking for a dynamic Project Officer – Capital Projects who can utilise and implement effective use of Project Management Methodology to aid in the delivery of construction related capital projects and annual capital maintenance programme.  

Your Role as a Project Officer – Capital Projects:

 

  • Assist in developing a 3 year programme of capital maintenance works.
  • Report and present project progress at monthly project review meetings using the project management templates status and cost updates on all allocated projects.
  • Continuously improve and assist in ensuring all key performance indicators and other set objectives are exceeded where possible.
  • Professionally manage delivery of projects by external consultants and contractors and ensure that all contracted parties fully meet appropriate standards, terms and conditions
  • monitor, evaluate and analyse budgets, exercising budgetary control measures, including the monitoring of all costs against agreed budgets and ensuring clients are kept informed at all key stages.

 

Your previous experience as a Project Officer – Capital Projects:

 

  • Employing knowledge gained from Professional qualification relevant to construction project management and trained in health and safety issues affecting buildings and construction sites
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of financial planning, budget monitoring and construction cost control
  • Demonstrable background of construction project management experience with an understanding of Prince 2 standard or equivalent
