Project Manager – Placement Sufficiency (Children’s Social Care)
6-month interim contract
North-West England, full-time (may consider 4 days per week), up to 3 days per week on site
£475 – £550/day Inside IR35

We’re currently recruiting for an exciting Interim Project Manager in North-West England within a Local Authority.
 
Placement Sufficiency Project Manager

  • Someone to deliver and lead on the sufficiency transformation programme
  • Need to update the sufficiency strategy and deliver the action plan. Then when done will need to act as the project manager for several key workstreams across the staff group
  • Transform services as required through collaboration with stakeholders and leaders across the corporate parenting portfolio, holding together the programme of work.

Will need to collaborate with/consider as part of project:

  • Residential providers/specialist provision
  • Fostering recruitment/mockingbird model
  • Bespoke packages of care for complex cases – work with providers
  • Commissioning space
  • Regional opportunities
  • In house provision for residential
  • Utilise a check and challenge approach to both commissioning team and wider partners, supporting the development of rigour in practice.
  • When Ofsted arrives in 6 months will need to be in a position to present a robust sufficiency strategy into the Annex A
  • Must have extensive knowledge of children’s placements and sufficiency, operational and strategic abilities (hands on approach) with clear demonstrable PM and transformation skills.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR POST:

  • All PMs coming into the service much be able to understand data, recognise where there are gaps in data and work with operational services to develop robust practice
  • Must be able to hold own workload and operate within the scope of their remit
  • Will need to be a strategic leader and self-starter but equally will need to be on the tools to deliver their responsibilities within the action plan/project plan.
  • Creating a culture of shared accountability.
  • Must have a proven record of transformation/PM but with expertise within practice/operational services to effect change with the service.
