This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Disposals Surveyor with valuation experience to make a significant contribution to the council’s asset disposals team. You will play a key role in reviewing and assessing assets for sale, collaborating with multiple teams, and ensuring that all legal and financial aspects of the process are managed effectively.
In this role you will demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, pressured environment while maintaining high standards of communication with Members, Tenants, the public, and associated professionals.
 
Your Role as a Principal Development Surveyor;
 

• Review and assess assets for sale efficiently, ensuring quick and accurate decision-making.
• Work closely with finance and legal teams to manage all aspects of asset disposal.
• Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including Members, Tenants, the public, and external professionals.
• Manage workloads in a pressured and fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks at once.
• Carry out site visits as required for disposals and valuations.

Your previous experience as Principal Development Surveyor:
 

• Chartered Surveyor status (or recently expired registration is acceptable if pending renewal).

• Strong Local Authority experience is essential.
• Private and local authority experience preferable
• Proven experience in valuation and disposals within a similar role.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and manage different aspects of the disposals process, including legal and financial reviews.
• Ability to engage effectively with Members, Tenants, the public, and professionals in a variety of settings.
