The opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in the South West for a Practice Development Lead to support Practitioners to deliver a consistent and high quality approach to practice. This role will be initially on an interim basis while the council look to recruit the role permanently.

About your role as the Practice Improvement Lead:

• Reporting into the Practice and Development Service Manager you will be a key component of the council ensuring the best outcomes for children.
• As a guardian of good practice, you will bring both support and effective challenge in relation to practice.
• You will develop and implement plans to embed learning from audit and quality assurance activity to ensure high quality delivery in all service areas.
• Using personal experience you will identify and make recommendations on improvements to ways of working, processes and procedures that will enhance service efficiency and deliver.
• Motivating and coaching will be a key part of the role and you will lead by example.

Your required experience as Practice Improvement Lead:

• Qualified Social Worker.
• Experience working within QA function in a managerial capacity in a local authority setting.
• Significant previous experience and knowledge within regulations and legislation of Children’s Social Care.
• Ability to challenge others constructively and make informed decisions.
• Available references for most recent 2 year’s roles and Enhanced DBS will be required.
