Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid working (3-5 days per week onsite)

Reporting into the Head of Housing Repairs Service (HRS), you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality planned works and surveying services. This role is central to ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, driving service performance, and supporting strategic delivery across housing repairs and maintenance.
We’re working with a progressive Local Authority to recruit a Planned Works Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality planned works and surveying services. This role is key to ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, driving performance, and supporting strategic housing repairs.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage planned works and HHSRS-related repairs, with a focus on damp and mould.
• Lead the surveying function and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure CDM documentation is maintained.
• Monitor service KPIs and implement improvements where needed.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate reporting, cost recovery, and value-for-money delivery.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in housing repairs and planned works, ideally in a local authority.
• Strong leadership and contractor management skills.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety legislation.
• Relevant technical qualification; NEBOSH or similar desirable.

Qualifications:

• Relevant technical or construction-related qualification.
• Health and Safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH) – desirable.
• Proficiency in IT systems and reporting tools.
• Experience in managing budgets, contracts, and performance frameworks.
