Baltimore are recruiting for a Mental Health Service Manager within Adult Social Care Team for an immediate start, for a South-west Local Authority
 
You will be required on site for this role 1/2 days per week but not every week.
 
You must have Service Manager Level experience of managing a Mental Health Team to be considered for this role.
 
About the Mental Health Service Manager role:
 

  • Responsible for robust professional leadership and operational delivery of Mental Capacity Act practice across the council and all system partners
  • Lead advisor / decision maker on mental health and MCA responsibilities in relation to commissioned services development, implementation and delivery
  • Responsible for robust performance management of delegated adult social care functions in outsourced services
  • Advising the DASS and/or wider Council in complex or controversial cases and on developing case or other law relating to social work practice

 
About you a Mental Health Service Manager:
 

  • Must be a qualified Social Worker
  • Must have management experience ideally SM and above managing Mental Health
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • In depth knowledge of MH and the complexities that come with this
  • Excellent Legislation knowledge
  • Will be required to do lots of work with local providers
  • Reporting into the DAS
