Registered Manager – 1 Bed CWD Crisis & Emergency Home

Location: South West England
Salary: £400-£500 per day (negotiable for experienced candidates)
Contract Length: 3-6 months (potential for extension)
Start Date: ASAP
 

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 1-bed crisis and emergency home for children with complex disabilities (CWD). This home provides short breaks and emergency placements, requiring a highly reactive and experienced professional.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Managing emergency admissions and ensuring immediate support for children.
• Leading a specialist team, including deputy managers, care staff, and behavioural support workers.
• Working with families to provide outreach support and home sleeping strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with Ofsted and other regulatory requirements.
• Crisis management, responding quickly to urgent placement needs.

   

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Registered Manager experience in a CWD or specialist children’s home.
• Experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs.
• Strong crisis management skills, handling emergency placements.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care – Children & Young People’s Services (or relevant social work background).
• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours emergency support.
