Location: South England Local Authority (Remote with one on-site visit per month)
Day Rate: £310 per day (inside IR35)
Contract Length: Initial 3-month contract (view to extend)
Start Date: Immediate start

About the Role:
Baltimore Consulting are seeking an experienced Interim Commissioning Officer – Children’s Services to join a Local Authority in the South of England. This is a crucial role focused on commissioning services for children, with a strong emphasis on working with external providers, developing service specifications, and contributing to the sufficiency strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on service commissioning within children’s services.
• Develop and review service specifications and sufficiency strategies.
• Work closely with external providers, including arranging provider forums.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive commissioning improvements.

About you:

• Proven Local Authority Commissioning experience.
• Background in Children’s Services commissioning.
• Strong track record of working with external providers.
• Previous experience in an interim role within a Local Authority.
• Understanding of service sufficiency strategies.
