£500-£550 per day (umbrella) – scope of negotiation

An exciting new interim opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in London for an experienced Head of Corporate Parenting following the secondment of the current postholder.

My client is looking for an experienced leader with expertise in CLA & Care Leavers but to have a strong collaboration with the leader with oversight of the provider services as there is joint responsibility for the sufficiency strategy & Corporate Parenting budget.

My client will be holding MS Teams interviews within the coming week to start ASAP

About your duties as the Head of Corporate Parenting:

• Your will have 2 direct reports (Service Managers) and the respective Team Managers/Service area (4X CLA & 3 x Care Leavers)
• This role hold oversight of permanency across the borough and statutory oversight for CLA (including within wider service areas).
• Responsible for joint co-ordination of the corporate parenting board and sufficiency strategy
• You will drive permanency practice in line with their commitment to Outstanding practice.

Your experience needed as the Head of Corporate Parenting:

• You will have experience in senior management (Head of Service) which knowledge of placement service and permanency but with operational oversight experience of CLA & Care Leavers
• Evidence good communication skills and transforming services in line with social care reforms
• Must hold a valid enhanced DBS or be able to undertake a new one
• Social work qualification and active registration with Social Work Engalnd
• Available references for most recent 5 year’s roles
