Reporting into the Director of Housing and Homelessness you will be responsible for Lead a professional team of asset managers and client surveyors, ensuring strategic oversight of housing repairs, capital investment, and asset management services.
 
 
About the Head of Client Housing Technical Services role:

  • Drive the development and implementation of the Asset Management Plan, ensuring timely stock condition surveys and updates.
  • Oversee the Housing Asset Management Plan, stock condition data, and the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Business Plan, ensuring alignment with Council priorities.
  • Ensure housing assets are maintained to a high standard, with planned works and capital investments meeting client priorities, improvement targets, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead the preparation for Housing Regulator inspections, ensuring services align with Consumer Standards.
  • Oversee customer and stakeholder feedback processes, ensuring continuous service improvement.

 
Your previous experience as a Head of Client Housing Technical Services:

  • Extensive experience as a Head of Service or equivalent senior leadership role, preferably within a local authority environment.
  • In-depth understanding of housing policy, asset management, and HRA Business Planning.
  • Proven expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and service transformation.
  • Experience managing complex budgets and capital investment programmes.
  • Strong leadership, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive service improvement.
  • Experience working with tenant and resident groups, ensuring their needs inform service delivery.
  • Chartered Surveyor (RICS) qualification and Management Qualification.
  • Familiarity with NEC Housing systems and Microsoft Office packages.
